Front Row Motorsports leaves Kansas Speedway with a pair of top-25 finishes
STATESVILLE, N.C. (10/22/12)—Front Row Motorsports leaves Kansas Speedway, celebrating one of its best runs on a non-restrictor plate track this season. David Ragan’s 20th place effort, and David Gilliland’s 23rd place finish, provided the team with a pair of top-25 finishes.
David Ragan, No. 34 Client One Securities Ford
Start: 37th
Finish: 20th
Points: 27th (+1)
David Ragan’s No. 34 Client One Securities team took advantage of a series of mid-race cautions to pit and fix a broken trackbar pin, which had previously been the cause of a major handling issue. Ragan received the lucky dog during the final caution period of the race, which placed him back on the lead lap, putting him in position to make several passes in the closing laps of the race and finish 20th.

“Our team showed great resilience today as we came together to fix a mechanical issue that was causing a major handling problem for us. Our Client One Securities Ford was quick today, and I’m happy to have earned a top-20 finish for our No. 34 team.”
David Gilliland, No. 38 Long John Silver’s Ford
Start: 38th
Finish: 23rd
Points: 28th (-1)
David Gilliland debuted a new-look Long John Silver’s Ford this weekend at Kansas Speedway. After starting 38th, Gilliland was able to navigate through a close call on Lap 155 when he avoided a wreck involving the No. 10 of Danica Patrick and the No. 83 of Landon Cassill. A handling issue plagued the team in the closing laps of the race, but the No. 38 team was still able to take home a respectable 23rd place finish.

“Sometimes luck is on your side, sometimes it isn’t. We were fortunate today. I’m happy to have yet another top-25 finish for our No. 38 Long John Silver’s team. We had a handling issue that became more and more severe as the race went on. Otherwise, I think we could have made a few more moves in the closing laps. All in all, I’m very pleased with today’s finish and the progress we are making as an organization.”
