“We struggled to make the right adjustments to our Pursuit Channel / Mossy Oak Ford all weekend. We got it a little better during the race, but when you end up with long green flag runs at the beginning of a race on a short track like Richmond, you risk going several laps down early, which we did.”
David Ragan, No. 34 Taco Bell Ford
Start: 27th
Finish: 32nd
STATESVILLE, N.C. (9/10/12) – - David Ragan drove the No. 34 Taco Bell Ford to a 32nd place finish in Saturday’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway. Ragan suffered a spin early-on after the lap 50 competition caution after contact with the No. 93 car. While Ragan did not suffer any damage, he did go one lap down. This week Ragan heads to Chicagoland Speedway, where he has finished in the top-25 in all 5 of his starts at the track, including a career-best finish of 8th.

“Getting spun early certainly didn’t help our finish. We made the right adjustments towards the end, but by then it was too late to make up enough ground to post a top-25 finish. I did stop at Taco Bell after the race, since the rain kept us on the track until about 12:30 a.m. It’s nice to have a sponsor that’s open late.”
