Gilliland “Hunting” for a Solid Run

No. 38 team heads to Richmond with Pursuit / Mossy Oak

STATESVILLE, N.C. (9/5/12) – – If you’re a whitetail deer that happens to be a David Gilliland fan, don’t bother watching this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway.  If you’re not a whitetail deer, be sure to look for Gilliland in the No. 38 Pursuit Channel / Mossy Oak Ford under the lights Saturday night.  While the No. 38 Ford will be covered in Mossy Oak’s “Break-Up Infinity” camouflage pattern, the bright orange numbers on the side of Gilliland’s entry will make it hard to miss under the autumn sky.

Gilliland has a career best finish of 18th and four career top-25 finishes at Richmond.  He is looking to rebound from last week’s effort, in which mechanical issues left the No. 38 car to finish in the 31st position.

Pursuit Channel is the only outdoor network delivered in satellite providers DISH and DIRECTV’s BASIC package, channels received by every subscriber regardless of their level of service. With a solid, growing portfolio of cable and high power TV stations, the network now reaches more than 38 million households. Outdoor enthusiasts can find Pursuit on DIRECTV channel 604 and DISH channel 240.

Gilliland on Richmond

“I enjoy racing at Richmond.  It is a challenging track that is different from any other short track we go to.  We had a lot of speed at Bristol, so hopefully some of those notes can help this weekend.  Last week was frustrating, but you will have mechanical failures from time to time in this sport. “

“I’m an avid outdoorsman and I think the Pursuit Channel / Mossy Oak Ford looks awesome this weekend.  I love the Mossy Oak pattern on the car.  I know the fans will enjoy seeing it run under the lights Saturday night. It’s cool that we’re racing the No. 38 car and Pursuit Channel happens to be in 38 million homes.”
