Gilliland, started 18th in the event after qualifying was rained out on Friday. Gilliland ran as high as 14th in the event before being caught up in a wreck. “Our Taco Bell Ford was fast all weekend. While I’m happy to have three top-20’s in a row and move up another position in the points, I think we could have had an even better run had we been able to stay out of trouble. Bristol has always been one of my favorite tracks. Pat and the No. 38 team gave me a great car. It’s nice to get a good run for Taco Bell here in Tennessee, as Bob owns a lot of franchises in the state and surrounding area.”
David Ragan, No. 34 Glory Foods Ford
STATESVILLE, N.C. (8/27/12) – – An early wreck ruptured an oil line on the No. 34 Glory Foods Ford, setting it ablaze. The team was able to take the car to the garage and make the necessary repairs to return to the racetrack in an effort to gain points before finishing 32nd.
David Ragan on Bristol
“We had a fast car, but a pair of early incidents ruined our night. I was hoping to get a good run for Glory Foods at Bristol. They’re on the car again this weekend at Atlanta, so hopefully we can come up with a better finish for our No. 34 team and start regaining some momentum.”
