STATESVILLE, N.C. (8/17/12) - – David Gilliland takes the No. 38 Taco Bell Ford to Michigan International Speedway this weekend for the running of the Pure Michigan 400. Gilliland had a rough outing in the series’ first visit to Michigan, as he was caught up in a pair of wrecks, not of his doing, before salvaging a 27th place effort. The Riverside, Ca. native holds a career best effort of 17th in 12 career starts at the 2.0 mile oval.

“We had a good weekend at Watkins Glen and look to take that momentum with us to Michigan. Obviously, whenever we come to Michigan, we want to have a good run for Ford. It’s great to welcome Taco Bell back to the hood of the No. 38 car. Pat and I will look to make the right adjustments throughout the weekend and earn a strong run for our team.”
