Gilliland and ‘Battered’ Long John Silver’s Ford Persevere to 27th Place Run at Michigan

The No. 38 Long John Silver’s Ford ended its day at Michigan as battered as a piece of Thick Cut Cod.

David Gilliland was involved in the first yellow flag of the day as the spinning, No. 51 machine of Kurt Busch made hard contact with the passenger side of the No. 38 car.

Ragan Overcomes Adversity to Earn 7th Top-25 Finish of the Season at Michigan

David Ragan earned his 7th top-25 finish of the 2012 season in Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway. After qualifying 38th, Ragan ran as high as 5th in the event before bringing his No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford home 23rd.

‘Speramus Meliora’ is the motto of the City of Detroit, which in Latin means ‘We Hope for Better Things.’ After experiencing a flat tire early on in the race at Pocono, the No. 34 team is adopting the city’s slogan as they too are hoping for better things as they head into the Motor City.
