While Sparta, Kentucky is not the same Sparta featured in the 2006 hit movie 300, and David Ragan is not Gerard Butler leading an army to battle the Persian King Xerxes, the No. 34 team is prepared to head into battle this Saturday night as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Kentucky Speedway for the running of the Quaker State 400.

David Ragan ran as high as 9thin Sunday’s Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma, and was arguably on pace for his first career top-20 finish at the track when ‘Mean Old Frisco’ appeared in the form of a late race wreck ended an otherwise solid run for the No. 34 Green1 – High Performance Green team.

Josh Wise headed to the ‘wine country’ of Sonoma, Ca. to make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series road course debut in Sunday’s Toyota / Save Mart 350. Wise held off a final lap charge from the No. 83 of Landon Cassill to finish 30th, a ten position improvement over the Riverside, Ca. native’s qualifying effort.
